Experienced Fishers Day Care
The toddler room is designed to provide comfort to the active learning needs of toddlers. Toddlers are very curious and love investigating the world around them; we are well equipped with a good range of exciting and stimulating toys and games. The room is designed around centers (interest areas) in the areas of art, dramatic play, news and story time, blocks and building, and fine motor development.
In our Toddler Room, children are exposed to a more routine-oriented program where the focus is helping the children gain more independence and encouraging them to attempt basic self-help skills. Activities such as dressing, potty learning, and washing hands are practiced in this age group. Language skills are developed through stories, teacher modeling and word repetition. Children in this class are often learning how to socialize with other children in a positive way for the first time. A wide variety of art, music, and gross motor activities offered by our teachers assists the children in the development of their individual abilities.
Our Fishers Day Care provides the children with the materials and guidance necessary to enjoy varied learning experiences, but adapt each and every activity to meet the children’s changing needs, tap into their emerging interests, and engage their curious minds!
Age specific assessments are filled out and discussed to provide the opportunity for parents and teachers to discuss goals for each child.
